PHCPPros is spotlighting another one of its own Women In PHCP! Our January 2020 Featured Woman is Jen Schmitt. Jen is a columnist for The Wholesaler magazine and in November 2019 it was announced that she would lead Schmitt ProfiTools Inc. as president.
A family-owned business, Schmitt ProfiTools, Inc. (SPI), is an e-commerce, software, product content, and catalog provider in the HVACR, plumbing and electrical industries. The company was founded by her mother Glenda Schmitt, another woman in PHCP, and Joe Schmitt Sr., Jen’s grandfather. Prior to co-founding the company, Glenda was employed at Mcdonnell-Douglas as a member of the IS Group.
Maintaining the Schmitt legacy, in 1996 Jen brought her experience to the family business, which is based in St. Louis. Today, she is responsible for managing daily operations. Jen attended the University of Iowa and the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She earned a degree in accounting and received Summa Cum Laude honors.
