Drew Moyer, CFO of AD, the member-owned buying/marketing group, has been awarded 2019 CFO of the Year by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Philadelphia Business Journal named AD's Drew Moyer the CFO of the Year for his exemplary professionalism, integrity, resilience, mastery of all the financial and people skills. Winners were nominated and then evaluated on criteria, including "financial accomplishments, tenure and scope of responsibilities, leadership, respect and influence within the company, community involvement, and stewardship of the company's business model."
In addition to his leadership as CFO of AD, Drew served on the Zoological Society of Philadelphia Board of Directors for nine consecutive years, where he drew upon his corporate leadership experience to participate in a wide range of board committees, including as chair of the Corporate Leadership Council and Development Committee.
"In the 3 years that Drew has been with AD, he has used his passion for Corporate Finance and his commitment to the greater AD community to better serve our members, suppliers and associates," said Bill Weisberg, AD chairman and CEO. "He played a key role in our landmark transition to member ownership in 2018 and in each of the three mergers we completed in 2019. He is a valued business partner and a good role model internally, for our culture. This is a very well-deserved award."
The 2019 CFO of the Year awards were hosted on July 18 at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City, Philadelphia.
