Mulcahy, a manufacturer's representative that serves the heating, cooling and plumbing industries, has been named one of the Top 150 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune for the second year in a row.
Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health, leadership and culture. The analysis included responses from more than 140,000 employees at 2,000 Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.
Celebrating its 90th year in business, Mulcahy has 60 employees and is recognized as a one-stop solution for heating, cooling and plumbing. It is one of 70 small businesses in the state that made the Top Workplaces list.
Mulcahy Executive Vice President Rob Grady said, “Our key to success is recognizing that everyone’s contribution matters; every single person is recognized and rewarded for the job they do. I am honored to work with such a great group of people who have been publicly recognized for their efforts in an everimproving culture. I look forward to continuing to strengthen our culture and continuing our streak as a Top Workplace."
Derek Johnson, a sales engineer at Mulcahy, said, "Our ability to collaborate on complex projects is a direct result of the community that we have formed at Mulcahy. Through team events, cookouts and office banter, we form a company that enjoys working together to better serve the HVAC industry."
Mulcahy significantly expanded operations and services in 2019. The company grew its product line in commercial and residential domestic hot water through a partnership with Lochinvar, an industry-leading high efficiency boiler and water heater manufacturer.
