U.S. Boiler Company, and a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings Inc., announced the formal opening of its new Engineering and Technology Center located at 2930 Old Tree Drive, Lancaster, Pa.
At the grand opening ceremony held today Doug Brossman, president and CEO of Burnham Holdings, the parent company of U.S. Boiler, stated that the opening of this new $5 million facility "… demonstrates our commitment to maintaining our leadership position by providing our companies the tools they need to develop and support the broadest and most sophisticated product offerings in the industry."
Paul Spradling, president of U.S. Boiler, added that "… the investment in this lab, which is one of the most sophisticated in the industry, will provide U.S. Boiler a competitive advantage by being able to more quickly develop state of the art products to meet the rapidly changing demands of our customers."
The new facility, which is integrated into U.S. Boilers' existing manufacturing and distribution campus, will provide the engineering department with additional space to house an engineering team, which has doubled in size in the last three years.
The state-of-the-art facility gives U.S. Boiler more capacity to develop and bring to market technically sophisticated condensing boilers, a rapidly growing segment of the marketplace. Overall, the 20,000 square foot facility effectively triples the size available to U.S. Boiler's engineering team, and will be able to support future department expansion.
