It is with a sense of profound loss and tragedy that the passing of Paul Miller, president of The Mill-Rose Company, is announced. Paul died at his home in Highland Heights, Ohio on Tuesday morning, December 4, 2018. He was 72 years old.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Paul was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School and Ohio University. He married Michelle Ross and began work at The Mill-Rose Company serving in virtually every facet of the brush manufacturing business.
Paul was a leading supporter of industry associations including the American Brush Manufacturers Association. He took great pride in hosting the annual Victor Miller Golf Tournament and Brush Manufacturer’s luncheon where industry representatives gathered to network and mix business with pleasure.
Paul’s zest for life and love of people was second-to-none. “My dad lived a 1,000 years in the 72 calendar years of his life,” said his son, Greg Miller. “He loved and enjoyed life more than anyone I’ve ever known, and his love for family and friends was monumental."
The sad death comes upon the threshold of The Mill-Rose Company’s 100th anniversary. Paul Miller’s grandfather, Victor Miller, founded the company in 1919.
Paul is survived by Laura Dykes, his girlfriend of 20 years; four children, Celeste Miller, Greg Miller, Paul Miller, Jr., and Julie Miller; and seven grandchildren.
