A fan favorite film festival devoted to architecture and design is returning to NYC this fall for a 10th season.
The Architecture and Design Film Festival will run from October 16-21 with a program of filmmaker Q&As, panel discussions, pop-up installations, and 25+ films. Some of the big documentaries include: “Building Justice,” directed by Ultan Guilfoye, that explores the future of prison design through a student project under the direction of Frank Gehry; Gary Hustwit's new documentary about the iconic German industrial designer Dieter Rams; and the festival's first ever closing film, “Renzo Piano: Architect of Light,” from Spanish director Carlos Saura.
