The Women of ASPE (WOA) Leadership Forum is happening at the 2018 ASPE Convention & Expo on Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Atlanta. This exclusive event will bring together women in the field of plumbing design where you will have the opportunity to network with your peers and walk away with valuable knowledge that can be applied toward your professional growth. You will be able to earn 0.4 CEUs for participating.

The evet will be broken down with a networking breakfast from 8 – 8:45 a.m.; followed by presentations listed below, a networking lunch from non to 1 p.m., more presentations and a closing ceremony 4:15 to 5 p.m.

Fostering Generational Diversity

This session will focus on the unconscious biases that influence how we react and respond to others based on generational differences. Examining the "why" behind our biases and also exploring what shaped each generation will be the emphasis of this session. Regardless of our age or gender, we can be champions of diversity and inclusion. Learn how to engage and communicate effectively across generations.

Building a network of people who can assist you, campaign for you, and promote you within the workplace is critical to your professional growth and is as important as building your external networks. During this session, participants will learn the importance of how to navigate the social construct of peer to peer mentoring that lives and breathes in male-dominated fields.
Bucking the Professional Binary: A Man Doing "Woman's Work" in a "Man's World"

It’s 2018. We should be past this by now, right? But stale ideas about gender roles still inform many professional career paths. This session will be a candid discussion about the ways gender stereotypes affect our perceptions about certain careers and, consequently, how those perceptions affect the way we value – and evaluate – the work men and women do in fields we (consciously or not) associate with the opposite gender.
Say YES to Biz: Strategies to Destroy the N.O.I.S.E.

In order to say YES to yourself and your business, you must first understand the barriers getting in your way, so you can learn to say no to what doesn’t serve you. The barriers, or N.O.I.S.E., are broken down into the following categories:
