Earl Lewis Zarbock, former president of the American Supply Association, recently passed away. Zarbock was an industry veteran who once served as CEO for the Plumbers Supply Company. Below is his obituary from Larkin Mortuary.
Our wonderful husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa Earl Lewis Zarbock passed away peacefully in his sleep August 16, 2018 with his sweet family by his side. Earl was born March 13, 1939 in Salt Lake City, UT to Earl Ferdinand Zarbock and Leona Lewis. He graduated from Olympus High School, and was a proud alumnus of the University of Utah with a degree in Business and Marketing. His true passion and love in life was his wife Carol “Blondie” and their five children and the rest of his posterity. He and Carol, his junior high and high school sweetheart, were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, September 4, 1958. He was an avid sports fan and rarely missed a sporting or other event of any of his children or grandchildren.
Earl was a master at creating great relationships in his life through his business, friendship, and family. He made those near him better. He, along with his many wonderful employees, built Plumbers Supply Company into one of the largest plumbing and water works distribution companies in the country using his great zeal for life. He was president of the American Supply Association in 1989. He was loved by many nationwide. Earl was a true fun seeker and had a passion for life. He loved the outdoors and was very active with skiing, tennis, mountaineering, boating, traveling and golf.
Earl is survived by his beloved wife, his children Brad (Heidi) Zarbock, Ron (Jen) Zarbock, Sandy (Greg) Adamson, Buddy (Julie) Zarbock, and Amy (Joe) Valerio , 25 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. His brother Robert Zarbock, sister Susan Hood (Searle), and many nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and great granddaughter Reese.
