Reliable Heating & Air, the nation’s No. 1 Trane dealer and provider of heating and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and home performance residential and commercial service launched an HVAC technical academy.

Reliable Academy is located near Reliable’s headquarters at 1305 Chastain Road, Suite 200, Kennesaw, Georgia. The facility features five working labs fully equipped with all the HVAC units students will need to know how to operate and troubleshoot in residential homes.

This achievement is particularly significant to the Daniel Jape. As one of the largest employers in the Southeast of NATE-certified HVAC technicians, it is important to Jape to ensure the quality and excellence of training programs available to men and women who pursue a career in heating and air.

“We hire HVAC technicians at all levels of the spectrum at Reliable Heating & Air,” Jape said. “We noticed that the recent graduates of local HVAC technical schools have fundamental knowledge, but lack the hands-on experience they need to provide our customers the level of service we expect.”

Reliable Academy offers the fundamentals of refrigeration, sheet metal skills, walk-in coolers, electrical, plumbing,and HVAC service.  Students will be prepared to pass their NATE certification upon leaving.

Beyond that, the school will offer soft skills training that helps technicians interact better with homeowners, business owners and building facilities’ personnel.   

Gary Roberts, the director of training, is a 30-year veteran in the HVAC industry.  He has amassed a wealth of knowledge over the years repairing, maintaining and installing HVAC equipment.
