Forrest Anderson Plumbing and Air Conditioning Inc.’s President, Audrey Monell, was selected for the 2018 list of Most Influential Women in Arizona Business by Arizona Business Magazine.

Since becoming President of Forrest Anderson in 2008, Monell has been breaking barriers as a leader in this male-dominated field where only 1.5 percent of workers are women. Under Monell’s leadership, the company has grown every year, improved processes, opened communication and upheld core beliefs to treat customers and employees with the utmost respect.

“I am honored to be recognized alongside all the incredible women doing their part to shape the future of Arizona through business,” said Monell. “Our workforce and community will benefit thanks to these talented leaders. I am so proud to have the opportunity to lead a great team that believes in the strong values that my grandfather, Forrest Anderson, started 57-years ago when he began serving valley families, especially knowing how unlikely it would have been just decades earlier for such a company to be led by a women.”

This year, Monell hosted an inaugural “Women in Industry” workshop to introduce young women to careers in the trade. Monell is also a board member with Executive Women International and volunteers to help families at the Whispering Horse Ranch in Payson.

As part of the recognition as an Influential Woman in Business, Monell’s story will be featured in the July issue of Arizona Business Magazine and she will be honored, along with all the women selected, at a reception in August.
