The day after one of the biggest snowstorms of the season, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers held its monthly dinner meeting as scheduled.
Not only had more than 50 plumbing engineers and designers ventured out to Georgine’s Restaurant to earn needed continuing education units and professional development hours.
However, due to the effects of the days-long storm that had just left the area, the scheduled presenter from Caleffi Hydronic Solutions had to cancel.
To ensure that the presentation would still take place and guests would meet their education requirements, ASPE asked Ken White, commercial sales manager, Keystone Sales & Associate’s, if he could present the pre-approved material in Caleffi’s place.
“With programs designed specifically for continuing education, the material has to withstand a rigorous review and approval process to ensure it is worthy of meeting accreditation standards,” White said. “At this point the presentation was set and there was no way to substitute. Fortunately, I was able to step in as I have the industry and product knowledge needed for this particular topic.”
The presentation, Modern Fundamentals of Domestic Hot Water Systems, reviewed the current approach to recirculation in domestic hot water systems. Another point the presentation touched on was the presence of Legionella bacteria in DHW systems and one of the recommended disinfection methods for the strain.
“Ken is always highly responsive, dependable and knowledgeable,” said Mike Panco, president of the ASPE Philadelphia Chapter. “In fact, that is what I’ve come to expect from everyone at Keystone Sales & Associates. I’ve worked closely with them for over 15 years.”
ASPE is recognized as an approved provider and sponsor of CEUs and PDHs throughout all 50 states for registrations and licensing requirements.
