Louisville Business First reports that the Sullivan College of Technology and Design, Louisville, Ky., has established a 35-member advisory board that includes HVAC/R industry contractors, leaders and business owners.
In particular, the group is looking at ways to help beat back a shortage of workers that has been brought on by growth in the industry combined with new technology.
The partnership between the school and local business has led to the production of a video that explains the local skills gap for the HVAC/R industry but also illustrates the different career paths available and ways Sullivan can help advise and ready workers.
