Members of the National Association of Wholesaler Distributors (NAW), during the association’s Executive Summit in Washington, DC, elected Joseph C. Nettemeyer as Chairman of the NAW Board of Directors. Nettemeyer, President and CEO of Valin Corporation, California, succeeds John Tracy, Executive Chairman, Dot Foods, Inc. Tracy will remain active on the NAW Board as immediate Past Chairman.
“In the 36 years that Valin Corporation has been a NAW Direct Member, we have enjoyed the networking opportunities, educational opportunities, products, and services that NAW offers. It is my honor to be elected to serve NAW as its next Chairman. I look forward to working with this association and our members in 2018 and contributing to NAW’s ongoing important work for our industry,” said Nettemeyer.
The following positions were also filled by wholesale distribution industry leaders during the event: the new Chairman-Elect is George Pattee of Parksite Inc.; the new First Vice Chairman is Douglas W. York of Ewing Irrigation Products; the new Second Vice Chairman is Michael Medart of Medart Engine & Marine; the new Secretary is Jeff McLendon of U.S. Lumber Group; and the new President is Dirk Van Dongen.
