Chicago Tube and Iron (CTI) has announced two new hires, effective at the start of the new year.
Steve West has been promoted to vice president of Engineered Products. In this capacity, he will report directly to the COO.
West will have the responsibility to grow sales while improving production efficiency for general line fabrication, laser, production cutting and power at CTI facilities in Romeoville, Locust and Owatonna.
West has held the position of general manager of General Line Fabrication and, more recently, director of Engineered Products. His 30 years of management experience within various industrial settings, has prepared him to lead this critical area of “value-added services” that CTI provides to our growing account base.
CTI has also name Raul Saucedo to the newly created position of operations manager of the entire Romeoville warehouse facility.
With the formalization of the company’s plan punctuating the need for improved operational coordination and efficiencies, this is an initiative for the company’s future success. Saucedo will coordinate the combined production resources of distribution, laser, fabrication, welding and bending to utilize technology and efficiency improvements in the highly competitive markets CTI serves.
Saucedo has 28 years of operational experience specific to the company’s industry, and will now report to West and Sean Vietti.
