The American Standard Beale pull-down kitchen faucet with Selectronic hands-free technology was recognized with a 2018 German Design Award in the Excellent Product Design category.
The goal of the German Design Awards is to discover, present and recognize unique international design trends, accepting top-quality entries in product and communication design. Launched in 2012, the German Design Award is considered to be one of the most well-respected design competitions in the world.
“It is an honor to receive acknowledgement from the German Design Council with this prestigious award for the design and performance of our Beale touchless kitchen faucet,” said Maha El Kharbotly, chief marketing officer of LIXIL Americas, the business unit under which American Standard operates. “When we launched this pioneering faucet technology and design, we knew we had something extraordinary. This esteemed recognition reinforces our goal to provide high-style, highly functional products that make everyday life easier, healthier and more comfortable for consumers.”
The Beale touchless kitchen faucet features hands-free control – when desired – with its option of switching to manual operation by sliding a movable door to cover the sensor. This kitchen faucet helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination in food preparation.
The kitchen faucet has also been recognized with a 2016 GOOD DESIGN Award for its design and functionality.
