Core & Main, the distributors of water, sewer, storm and fire protection products, recently appointed two new senior leadership team members: Tim Maynard, vice president of Corporate Development; and Mark Whittenburg, general counsel and secretary.

Maynard is responsible for pursuing and executing growth opportunities for Core & Main. His responsibilities include strategy and inorganic growth initiatives, pipeline development, strategic evaluation, deal structure, valuation, due diligence and negotiation. Maynard’s considerable experience includes a large body of transactions among diverse industries and geographies, with an aggregate transaction value of approximately $30 billion. He joined Core & Main following his most recent position as Vice President of Corporate Development for FEI Company.

Whittenburg now manages a team of legal and compliance professionals who handle all of Core & Main’s corporate governance, compliance and legal matters. He also advises the company’s senior leadership team and board of directors on legal and strategic matters such as merger and acquisition activities. Prior to joining Core & Main, Whittenburg was based in Shanghai, China where he served as vice president, Legal for the Asia Pacific region with Autoliv.
