4 Eco Services, Inc., a Kansas City, Missouri-based provider of residential heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and central water filtration services, has acquired the well-known Roger the Plumber of Lenexa, Kansas.
For more than 67 years, the iconic Roger the Plumber has provided local homeowners with professional plumbing and drain cleaning services as both a local and nationally recognized leader in the plumbing trade.
The operation will move forward with 4 Eco Services’ CEO Jeremy Prevost and Ryan Peugeot of Roger the Plumber serving at its helm.
"The culture that Roger the Plumber was founded on was one of discretion and loyalty to the families it has served over the past 67 years," Prevost said. "Roger’s business meshes well with the 4 Eco Services culture."
“We selected 4 Eco Services because of their good relationship with their customers founded on trust and customer service, as well as their history and commitment to quality." said Roger Peugeot, president and COO at Roger the Plumber. “In 4 Eco Services, we have found a partner and a leadership team that embody the philosophies on which Roger the Plumber was founded.”
Roger the Plumber has received many accolades, including:
In addition, the company was featured in 2009 in The Wall Street Journal.
“I began with just my dad when he bought out his father’s plumbing and heating business which began in 1950,” added Roger Peugot. “Our last name is pronounced just like the automobile, POOH-joe. That can be a challenge for some to pronounce and remember, so Dad became known simply as Roger, the plumber.”
Today, the company has more than 70,000 customers in its database with some fifth-generation customers.
This acquisition comes at a time when 4 Eco Services recently acquired another local 40-year old HVAC business.
"This acquisition will allow us to bring world-class plumbing service to more customers in the Kansas City market,” said Ian Williams, 4 Eco Services general manager.
