Carl Mosack, former president and CEO of Conbraco Industries, died Aug. 13 at the age of 86.
Carl began his professional career with Consolidated Brass Co. working in various positions until becoming president in 1967. The company, now known as Conbraco Industries, grew under his leadership from $1 million in sales to more than $180 million. He was directly responsible for the original launch of the Apollo Valve in 1968. The product catapulted the company from a specialized manufacturer to a world-class market leader.
He was inducted into The Wholesaler’s PVF Hall of Fame in 2002.
He is survived by his wife Romelia Adams-Mosack; his children: Kathi Mosack Dantzler and husband Bill; Cal Mosack; Carole Mosack Lee and husband Chris; Glenn Mosack and wife Hollie.
He also leaves his grandchildren: Kassie, John and Louis Dantzler; Harrison, Madison and Connor Mosack; Ryan Lee, Jordan Lee Reardon and husband Schuyler; Braxton, Morgan and Parker Mosack and niece Carolyn Pou Vanderberg and husband Matthew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at Sharon Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, N.C. or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
