Kohler Co. will open the first of nine Kohler Experience Centers that includes private bathing spaces for customers to experience products by appointment.
The 10,000 square-foot store in the Manhattan's Flatiron District will open May 23 for a private event and open to the public on May 24. The company expects other enhanced showrooms to open this year in cities, including London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The Kohler Experience Center is designed to show the company’s breadth of products, colors and assortments and will also feature its international products for designers and architects working on projects abroad, according to an article in The Wall Street Journal.
The store will feature the “Experience Center,” a private bathing space where customers can make appointments to experience products such as Real Rain, designed to simulate standing in the rain, and VibrAcoustic hydrotherapy, which uses sound waves to create a relaxing rhythmic experience in a bathtub.
