Control Supply, a master distributor of HVAC controls, recently acquired the assets of Martin Walshin Inc. After 44 years in business, owners Bill Nowak and Mark Finkelstein made the decision to shut their doors. Founded by Marty and Iris Walshin, Martin Walshin Inc. was the first company to brand themselves master distributors of HVAC controls to the wholesaler only. After the passing of Iris eight years ago, Bill and Mark took the ownership reins and continued the Walshin legacy.

Wanting to create a legacy for Walshin’s loyal customer base, Bill reached out to Control Supply owner, Gary Herbst, to transition over the business.

“Since both Walshin and Control Supply are in the same geographic area and since Gary has built a great company around service, inventory, and knowledge, we felt that they would be the best option for our customers to continue with,” Bill said.

Having celebrated its 40^th year in business in 2016, Control Supply has grown into one of the premier master distributors in the HVAC industry. Known for its high levels of inventory, technical knowledge and great customer service, Control Supply is poised to continue helping HVAC wholesalers with their control needs for years to come.

Control Supply is acquiring inventory, phone numbers and other assets of Martin Walshin Inc.

“We want to make the transition as smooth as possible for the Walshin customer. Having known Marty and Iris personally, it’s with great pride and respect that we’re able to help continue a legacy for their customers,” Herbst said.

Walshin customers can use the same Walshin phone numbers, which will be forwarded into Control Supply and being in the same geographic area as Control Supply, Walshin customers can also expect to receive the same shipping transit times.

Bill Nowak will also be joining the Control Supply family and will be working to transition over Walshin customers.

“I’m thrilled to personally be working with Control Supply and to make the transition of our loyal customers over to Control Supply an easy one,” Nowak said.

Control Supply has also added ASCO, the premier solenoid valve company, to its list of manufacturers it sells and will have access to the full catalog of ASCO products. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with ASCO. Our two companies have great reputations and we look forward to helping ASCO grow its business in our marketplace” Herbst added.
