Heather Corrigan, Your “other” Warehouse (YOW) marketing manager, stated that the new website will allow them to provide a much better user experience and service their customer at a higher level.  “Features such as customized pricing visibility, online ordering, and order tracking permit our customers to self-serve.  We can also share new products and promotions and track the user’s experience,” said Corrigan. The site further enhances the shopping experience by allowing users to set up order and shipping preferences and create customized order templates. Additional features such as saved product searches and product reviews enrich the user experience as well.

Prior to the launch of the new website, YOW customers had access to an extensive catalog and a product website, but they could only place their orders through the YOW call center. National Sales Manager Ben Tuminello  noted, “When I started with the company in customer service, we spent a lot of time doing scavenger hunts for people who needed a faucet with a certain spout reach, or spout height, or the right kind of handle. We did a lot of catalog flipping. People want the ease of being able to search and shop online.  They’re not as willing to sift through a catalog. Our new website addresses what the customer needs and wants in the marketplace.” 

YOW was methodical about the site’s launch, testing functionality through a soft launch. The soft launch was an opportunity to track customer experience and solicit feedback. “So far customers are saying ‘I love it — I love being able to see the products, find out inventory availability, and place my own orders,’” said Corrigan. 

The website is not the only place YOW has expanded. The company boasts 3.6 million square feet of warehouse and distribution space in Perris,  Calif., Troy, Ohio, and Locust Grove, Ga. Tuminello  said, “Our Perris location allows us to service the entire population of California, as well as Las Vegas and Phoenix with 1 to 2-day ground shipping.  And with the addition of our new Ohio distribution center, we can provide 2-day ground service to over 90 percent of the U.S population.”
