DiversiTech Corp., announced March 15 that it has hired Jon Evans as chief operations officer. Evans will be responsible for the integrated operations of the company. This includes overseeing the continued successful integrations from the recent acquisitions of Cliplight and Pump House, two companies that joined the DiversiTech family in December.
Evans’ responsibilities also include streamlining the company’s national and international service offerings and product portfolio, which consists of more than 7,000 product items in over 200 product categories. Evans will report to DiversiTech CEO Jim Prescott.
Evans brings more than 20 years of general management, supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing experience to the COO role. He comes to DiversiTech from Arysta LifeScience, a $2 billion global agrochemical solutions provider, where he served as the executive vice president of global integrated supply chain and operations, as well as interim CEO/president. Prior to Arysta, Evans served as a vice president/general manager for standalone global business units within Imerys, FMC Corp. and AMRI. Evans also spent more than a decade in various manufacturing, supply chain and commercial roles at General Electric’s plastics and engineered materials business.
Evans holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as an Armor/Cavalry officer.
