General Pipe Cleaners awarded Ford Williams, founder of AK Sales, Denver, with its Bob Gelman Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2016 International Builders Show.

Williams has represented General Pipe Cleaners, a division of General Wire Spring Co. in Colorado; Wyoming; Montana; and parts of Nebraska for 20 years. Williams distinguished himself as one of the most knowledgable sales representatives in the drain cleaning industry. His approach was face-to-face and hands-on as he chalked up at least 1,000 counter days during is long career.

The award is named in honor of Bob Gelman, former sales manager of General Pipe Cleaners for 27 years until his death in 2001.
