Jacksonville, Fla. – Mitsubishi Electric U.S., Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), North America’s leading marketer of advanced cooling and heating systems for commercial and residential applications, announced the selection of Johnstone Supply - The Ware Group Florida (The Ware Group) as the South Business Unit (BU) Distributor of the Year.

Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, The Ware Group is the leading HVAC/R wholesaler in north and central Florida. Operating since the early 1950s, The Ware Group maintains more than 400 locally owned and operated stores serviced by five distribution centers.

The Distributor of the Year Award was presented to The Ware Group at Mitsubishi Electric’s annual Distributor Conference in March 2015. The award is presented to a single distributor in each of the five BUs, recognizing the distributor that has performed above and beyond all others in areas of sales, market development and service levels. 

The Distributor Conference honors Mitsubishi Electric’s distributors’ hard work and dedication, while also celebrating the continued success of its ductless and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems in the U.S. market. This year’s event took place in Orlando, Florida at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel from March 9 –13. More than 500 distributors, employees and spouses traveled to the theme park capital of the world for the conference.
