North Little Rock, Ark. – Jason International, Inc. announced the appointment of Matt Peterson as president, and the promotion of Paulo Jacuzzi as executive vice president of the Arkansas-based manufacturer of luxury hydrotherapy products. Remo Jacuzzi, the former president and founder of Jason International passed the post down to Peterson, and still remains chairman of the board.
"I truly believe that with Peterson's leadership and knowledge of our industry, Jason International will continue to successfully engage in national and international markets," Jacuzzi said. "He understands our company, customers and challenges within the industry. I am certain that Matt Peterson teamed with Paulo Jacuzzi and Remo V. Jacuzzi will keep the family legacy alive."
Originally from Michigan, Peterson has a bachelor's degree in economics from Kalamazoo College and a master’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University. He has spent his entire career in the Consumer Home Products industry, including the appliance, HVAC, and plumbing industries. His career started at Whirlpool Corporation, where his career progressed through a variety of sales and marketing positions, including national director of sales and director of the KitchenAid Brand. He was also vice president of sales and marketing at York International from 1998 until 2007 and most recently president of a national bathtub manufacturer.
