Superior Boiler Works, a manufacturer of Scotch Marine and vertical firetube boilers and boiler equipment, has earned two top awards – one for Corporate Leadership, another for Community Involvement – as part of the 2016 Manufacturing, Wholesale and Distribution Awards annual competition sponsored by the Wichita Business Journal.
The company earned the Corporate Leadership award for mastering “progressive manufacturing, wholesale and distribution disciplines…led by creative, out-of-the box thinkers who visualize and guide organizations toward innovative ways of doing business.” Award recipients are considered “a driving force, catalyzing the entire industry to incorporate revamped and retooled business while keeping technology aligned with business strategies.”
Superior Boiler Works specializes in engineering custom designs for companies with demanding specifications. Key industry customers and suppliers consider the company a reliable and sought-after partner for its record of excellence and dedication to achieving difficult business objectives.
The company, a committed community stalwart in Hutchinson, won the Community Involvement award for its involvement in and dedication to the community. Among its community contributions, Superior Boiler supports the United Way annual campaign, devotes financial resources and mentoring support to the Boys and Girls Club, partners with the Kansas Cosmosphere’s Revitalization (STEM) program and assists Hutchinson Community College on welding programs and training for students preparing to enter industry careers.
“Superior Boiler Works is honored to receive these awards, ones that we accept on behalf of all our employees,” said Doug Wright, Superior Boiler Works president and CEO. “We’ve sought to be a leader in the industry and in our community, and earning this recognition validates our commitment. We look forward to continuing our tradition of corporate leadership and to giving back to the people in communities where we live and work.”
