A new brochure from Aquatherm North America discusses how its piping system is the only piping system in North America that can directly contribute to points under LEED v4.
“LEED v4 and Piping System Design,” from Aquatherm North America, the U.S. and Canada partner of leading polypropylene pipe manufacturer Aquatherm Worldwide, discusses North America’s first ISO-compliant, peer-reviewed, third-party certified, product-specific Type III environmental product declaration (EPD) for a piping system.
Aquatherm NA commissioned the EPD along with a life-cycle assessment (LCA) to assess the cradle-to-gate impact of its polypropylene pipe. Through independent verification by NSF International, all of Aquatherm’s piping products can be used as part of the 20 permanent products required for LEED certification.
