Heather Koffman has been promoted to Vice President and Associate General Counsel.
The IAPMO Group wishes to congratulate and express its appreciation for Senior Vice President and General Counsel Neil Bogatz, Esq., on his retirement, concluding a long and fruitful career in law.
Bogatz joined IAPMO as General Counsel in 2000, having previously been in private practice in New Jersey, handling everything from real estate closings to litigation and commercial transactions. In addition to his legal responsibilities, Bogatz represented IAPMO on numerous American National Standards Institute (ANSI) committees. Beginning Jan. 1, Bogatz became a consultant for IAPMO and will continue to represent IAPMO at ANSI, as the Chair of the ANSI Executive Standards Council and Vice Chair of the Intellectual Property Rights Policy Committee (IPRPC).
“My relationship with Neil carries back to the early 1980s when he represented my plumbing company,” said IAPMO CEO GP Russ Chaney. “When it came time for IAPMO to hire a general counsel, I sought out Neil’s advice on how to find and recruit this type of practitioner, only to learn that he might be interested. So I was pleasantly surprised, and after a lengthy interview it became evident to me that Neil was uniquely qualified to assume this responsibility. It was one of the best decisions I made and The IAPMO Group has been better as a result of his service.
“I’ll miss Neil’s contributions, his friendship, and his sense of humor. We wish him and Patti many years of good health and happiness.”
Monte Bogatz will assume the role of Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Monte has been with IAPMO since June 2010. Over the past five years, he has been directly involved in The IAPMO Group’s newest ventures, including ASSE International, the Dispensing Equipment Alliance (DEA), and the Water for Indonesia Now (WIN) project, among others. As lead counsel, Monte will continue to work directly with Chaney and the IAPMO Board of Directors in support of the IAPMO global mission.
Heather Koffman has been promoted to Vice President and Associate General Counsel. Still in her first year with the organization, Koffman will continue to assist in all aspects of The IAPMO Group.
