Dear PDI friends, family, customers and suppliers,
I want to thank those of you who have reached out inquiring about ways to support PDI employees following the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Many of our team members were directly impacted by the hurricane and are still hurting. We also had to temporarily close our Augusta, Aiken, Evans, Pooler and Statesboro locations.
We’re working as a company to support our colleagues as best as we can. PDI recently coordinated a large truck delivery of food and household supplies to communities where our team members are in need. We’re looking to continue supporting them as the colder months and holidays approach.
That’s where I’m hoping you and your organization can come in.
Our friends at AD are already receiving applications from PDI employees as part of the AD Disaster Relief Foundation’s grant program. The non-profit organization provides support to affected employees of AD members and suppliers through monetary and in-kind donations.
Gifts to AD Disaster Relief Foundation are completely tax-deductible.
If you or your organization would like to set aside a portion of its annual charitable giving to help PDI employees get back on their feet, then I am providing guidance on how to do so below.
I fully understand that a lot of organizations are tightening belts and that there are many people in need this season. If you find that our employees’ needs align with your company’s philanthropic mission, then we certainly would value your financial support through the AD Disaster Relief Fund.
Finally, if you’re not the decision maker on charitable spending within your organization, then my hope would be for you to share this email with the right individual.
Thank you,
Coley Herrin
