Miura America, a global leader in industrial steam boiler technology, has partnered with Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) to create the Miura Boiler Trade (MBT) Program. This innovative 13-week training program is designed to prepare students for full-time careers as Boiler Field Technicians, offering a unique "earn while you learn" experience.
Paid Training with High Earning Potential
Participants in the MBT Program will receive $18.90 per hour during the training phase, with a pay increasing to $30-$34 per hour after just six months, depending on prior experience and education.
The Miura Boiler Trade Program is structured into three key phases. The first phase, Orientation and Initial Training, takes place during the first three months at Miura America's headquarters in Rockmart, GA. It involves a blend of classroom instruction, hands-on production work, and field experience at customer sites.
In the next phase, which lasts from months four to six, participants move to regional branches based on company needs. The focus shifts primarily to fieldwork, with some continued classroom training.
The final phase, spanning months seven to thirty, allows participants to gain independent experience at Miura branches or with local representatives, transitioning them toward full-time employment.
In-Demand Career with No Student Debt
The MBT Program offers a clear path to a lucrative and in-demand career without the burden of student debt. Field technicians play a vital role in maintaining steam systems that power industries like food processing, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Real-World Experience & Industrial Training
Through the partnership with GNTC, students will receive industrial training that covers essential skills such as electrical circuits, control logic, and steam system fundamentals. Factory and field shadowing will provide real-world exposure to Miura's state-of-the-art technology and innovative boiler solutions.
Impacting the Future of Steam Technology
Miura America and GNTC are excited to offer a program that not only addresses the current demand for skilled boiler technicians but also shapes the future of the steam industry. By providing hands-on training and expert mentorship, the MBT Program is designed to produce highly skilled professionals equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
