Plumbing Distributors Inc. (PDI) has announced that it has undergone strategic organizational changes to align with its continued growth and expansion in the Southeast region of the United States. Among these changes are several new positions and promotions at the leadership level.
Fielding Alderman was recently promoted from executive vice president and general manager to chief operating officer. Passionate about supply chain management and a graduate of PDI’s corporate management training program, Alderman has remained a steadfast leader within the organization, working to optimize nearly every department within the company during his twelve-year tenure.
Shawn Meredith recently joined PDI as chief financial officer. She oversees the company’s treasury, accounting, credit, tax compliance and risk management functions. Meredith has more than a decade of prior experience in the distribution industry, where she actively led the business growth vision for various middle-market companies.
PDI has also brought on Brandon McNeal as its vice president of sales, a new role the company has established to support its multichannel strategy among consumer and professional divisions. McNeal has had a successful career in the kitchen bath industry for 18 years; his background includes B2B sales and leadership roles focused on retail, wholesale and e-commerce channels.
When asked about the latest hiring decisions, president and CEO Coley Herrin had this to say:
We have seen such incredible success at PDI during our 51 years in business, but particularly in the past five years. We are on a mission to continue to be the best kitchen, bath, and lighting retailer and wholesale distributor in the Southeast. That mission requires the right people in the right positions. I feel confident in the robust team of executives we have paving the way toward PDI’s long-term business goals. What’s even more exciting is the professional development and opportunities that our people will get to experience because of these incredible leaders.
Additional leadership announcements from earlier in the year include internal promotions of Emilee Stone to vice president of marketing, Imtiaz Shaikh to vice president of information technology, and Anita Sweetnam to vice president of human resources.
