We’ve been doing this annual feature for more years than we can easily figure out combing through our archives, if only because we’ve always just headlined them, “Show Us Your Truck.” Hence, from this year on, we’ll add in the current year.
This year, we received 12 trucks. But we also got two submissions shortly after last year’s edition came out. Since they’ve been waiting the longest, we’ll start out with them and then pick up the others:
Tim Martin
Jimmy’s Plumbing & Repair
Archdale, North Carolina
“Jimmy’s Plumbing & Repair was founded in 1983 by Jimmy Martin and his two sons, Charlie and Tim. Jimmy and his sons worked tirelessly to grow the business from just the three of them, to more than 50 employees now, most of which came onboard with no plumbing experience.
“Besides having one of the best service reputations in the local market, the company is also known for having some of the nicest, cleanest trucks around. The trucks are fully stocked with tools and supplies, more than some of the competitors in the area. Jimmy’s provides every team member with 100% of the tools needed for the job. Many who are seeking employment see this as a huge bonus, as they do not have to worry about providing their own tools, which may discourage them from entering the trade.
“The team at Jimmy’s has worked actively to break the negative stigma that typically comes with being a plumber or any other blue-collar job. They are well-known around the area for their involvement in the community, from attending career fairs at local high schools to participating in other local events. Tim has even worked with the local community college to start a plumbing program, where he teaches weekly throughout the school year, striving to encourage more students into a career in the plumbing industry.”
Chris Petrucci
Petrucci Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration
Beallsville, Pennsylvania
“Petrucci has been in business since 1994. My wife and I started this business with an old Ford pickup truck, some tools and a ton of determination.
“In the beginning my wife did everything from secretary, schedules, parts, equipment orders, taxes, billing, account receivables/payables, and absolutely everything else involved in starting and operating a business. Including going out into the field with me as my helper a few times when I needed her. She did all this while raising our four children and when I look back on it now I can’t believe how she did it with grace, confidence, kindness, professionalism and, most of all, having my back when I needed her, which was always. I want to say that she was the perfect needed partner and I don’t think it would have lasted a year let alone 30 years without her.
“We are a small company with a total of 10 employees. Our company continues to grow despite being held back from the struggle to find new co-workers. That seems to be the case with most companies today. We’ve recently established our own free HVAC school program that we teach twice a week, in partnership with nearby vocational schools. This joint initiative has been highly effective in helping us fill several much-needed additional roles within the company.
“I can’t finish writing this without giving thanks and mention to all of our dedicated, honest and hard-working co-workers, past and present. We couldn’t ask for a better family of co-workers we currently have and love. It’s taken a long time and I am constantly reminding myself how lucky we are to be able to work with teammates of their caliber, not to mention being able to depend on them day in and day out. I don’t mean to sound cliche, but we couldn’t do it without them.
“As far as our company and vehicle branding with our wraps, we owe that to one of our senior techs for collaborating with our graphics company. Some years back we knew that we needed to come with a company brand/ look. Our co-worker Matt took it upon himself and came up with our current old man winter logo which we all widely approved of. They did a great job as we received and continue to receive numerous compliments from existing and new customers. I can say that when I’m introduced to someone, the first thing they mention is that they see our vans and signs everywhere and how much they like the look and logo.”
Antonio Delacerda
A-Team Plumbing
Tulsa, Oklahoma
“A-Team Plumbing sets the standard here as not only veteran-owned, but also only hiring veterans to help them transition back to the civilian world. We end up sticking out of the crowd and so our trucks stand out as well. All our work vans are bright yellow and day or night you will see us. The sticker bullet holes on the van are a friendly reminder to us and our community of our time in the military. We are proud to serve our country and serve our city and state.”
Elliott Scott
Hudson Plumbing
Martinsville, Indiana
“At Hudson Plumbing, we’re more than a service company; we’re a family, driven by values of trust, professionalism and community. Since 1992, we have built strong relationships by proudly standing behind our work with our 100% satisfaction guarantee. This promise ensures that customers can put their trust in us to provide them with the right solutions and the highest quality care.
“Dean and Tish Hudson founded the company with one original guiding principle: Be the plumber that people will genuinely trust. That was our guiding principle then, and it’s our guiding principle now.
“As our team has grown, we’ve carefully vetted candidates that reflect our core values of excellence and servant-mindedness. Each of our plumbing field technicians are licensed and insured.
“I also want to make it known that our vehicle/inventory program is really the brainchild of our Purchasing Manager Brad Voyles and Service Manager Kedge Benge. They oversee every facet of the program as well as conduct weekly inspections with the team.”
Clayton Lane
James Lane Mechanical
Wichita Falls, Texas
“At James Lane Mechanical, we believe that our trucks represent the best in the business, not just because of their striking appearance, but because of what they stand for. The vibrant yellow, chosen by our founder over six decades ago, symbolizes our commitment to visibility, reliability and safety.
“When one of our trucks arrives on a job site, it’s a beacon of assurance that expert service is on the way. Our fleet is meticulously maintained and outfitted with the latest tools and technology, ensuring that our technicians are always prepared to handle any challenge, whether it’s HVAC, plumbing or fire protection services.
“James Lane Mechanical was founded in 1957 by my grandfather, who instilled in us the importance of standing out in our industry. With more than 100 employees and a steadfast commitment to quality, we handle everything from residential repairs to large-scale commercial projects. Our yellow trucks have become a symbol of trust and excellence, and we take pride in knowing that when people see them, they know they’re in good hands.”
Dennis DeBautte
MegaAir
Slidell, Louisiana
“I like my decals because they are clean and simple. They represent what my company does, which is HVAC and geothermal systems, as well renting commercial ice machines. We have jobs from Alabama to Louisiana with Mississippi sandwiched in between, and no matter where I’m at, I’ve had people compliment me on the decals on my truck and ask me where I had them done.
“I created all the files in Photoshop and Illustrator, then I took a picture of my truck. I then went back to the computer and laid out the files on the truck picture. I moved them around and rearranged them hundreds of times, until I had a good representation of what I envisioned in my mind.
“I then sent the files to an online printing company and approved the proofs. When the decals arrived all we had to do was stick them on the truck.”

Origin Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electrical
Greeley, Colorado
“Origin Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electrical’s vehicles are a striking representation of our brand. The bold diamond plate background of the Origin logo commands attention, while the vibrant colors symbolizing our core services—light blue for plumbing, red for heating, dark blue for cooling and yellow for electrical— are immediately recognizable.
“The fiery design, a shared element with our sister company, Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning, reinforces our commitment to expertise and quality. Our slogan, ‘Guided by Tradition, Committed to Excellence,’ is prominently displayed, underscoring our dedication to providing exceptional service to our customers.”

Joshua Crowther
Peterman Brothers
Indianapolis, Indiana
“There are so many possible ways our trucks help Peterman Brothers get jobs done, whether it’s hauling equipment or bringing larger parts to crews in the field so they can continue to focus on the job. Not to mention it’s a massive billboard for the company!”
“One of the biggest benefits of our Peterman Brothers trucks is that they have a large diesel holding tank. That gives us the ability to bring diesel fuel out to crews on big jobsites so they can continue working. Without that advantage, they would have to load their equipment, leave the site, refuel and unload their equipment again back at the site. We can save our crews all that extra time and effort and ensure customers are getting the best value in addition to the best service.”

Susan Jacobs-Marshalsea
Ms Fix-It
Norwood, Massachusetts
“As a 5th generation master plumber in Massachusetts, I am the only woman in my family to be a master plumber. I’ve been plumbing for more than 40 years and I still enjoy every day, every job and pretty much every customer.
“I rebranded in 2015 with my ‘pink plumbing van’ so that everyone who didn’t know me, saw me and knew, by just seeing the van, that a woman owns this business, a woman will be show up at their house, a woman will be fixing their plumbing problem and a woman will be collecting her hard-earned money.
“Only 5.3% of plumbers are women and I am darn proud to show off myself and my skills. There is a huge shortage of tradespeople, nationwide, and by me just being me, I promote the trades, specifically plumbing, to anyone and everyone. So much that when I lost my husband during the pandemic, my son and I decided to start a trade scholarship in his name. We award a $1,000 scholarship to a Norwood High School graduate who is enrolled in a trade school after graduation. So my message is: Go into trades if college isn’t for you. "
