Ice Air, a leading innovator of HVAC systems, has proudly announced that it is now a member of NY-GEO, a not-for-profit trade association that seeks to grow Geothermal Heat Pump (GHP) usage across New York State. Ice Air’s membership reflects the company’s dedication to providing innovative, energy efficient, and environmentally sound HVAC solutions.
NY-GEO is the leading voice of geothermal HVAC in New York, increasing the adoption of geothermal heat pumps (GHPs), which utilize water and the earth’s underground temperature to efficiently heat and cool buildings. The organization raises awareness, promotes legislative action, and educates professionals and the public to simplify the installation process.
Ice Air’s commitment to innovation and fostering industry collaboration made NY-GEO membership a natural choice. With mandates like Local Law 97 to reduce building emissions, Ice Air’s role in NY-GEO is crucial. Together, they’ll promote GHP technology to building owners to reduce operating costs and to meet emissions targets.
Ice Air will be exhibiting at the 2024 NY-GEO NYC Conference, held at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott from October 21-23. The Ice Air team will highlight the superior performance and energy savings of geothermal heat pumps, offering essential educational resources for building owners, developers, architects, and engineers.
“We look forward to advancing the mission to expand the use of geothermal engineering in New York,” said Ric Nadel, Ice Air founder and CEO. “Ice Air’s heat pumps can reduce carbon emissions and lower operating costs, making them an ideal solution.”
Tom Glass, sales and marketing director added, “Energy savings can run as high as 40% to 60% with a well-designed, durable geothermal system.
