The YORK CYK Water-to-Water Compound Centrifugal Heat Pump delivers high-temperature water with superior efficiency. Now available in a smaller 400-ton capacity, the YORK CYK heat pump is available with optional ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, R-1234ze and R-515b, to further support decarbonization and net zero goals. The YORK CYK-400 heat pump is engineered to drive decarbonization within existing commercial buildings. Using two electric motor-driven centrifugal compressors arranged in series, CYK-400 delivers high-temperature hot water up to 170 F and can achieve simultaneous hot and chilled water cooling all within a compact design. Combined with an innovative double-bundle condenser and variable speed drives, CYK-400 can manage unbalanced load conditions and is 3-5 times more efficient than a traditional boiler and chiller combination.
