Luxury Products Group (LPG) joined with Walter Morris Company in Foxborough, Mass., to host LPG's first educational event for kitchen and bath designers. Suppliers and showroom representatives gathered with 25 influential kitchen and bath designers on June 25, where attendees collaborated during educational sessions, shared trends, and discussed product styles. The informative all-day event included presentations from manufacturers, lunch on site, and afternoon food and drinks at a local restaurant.
"The enthusiasm was exhilarating throughout the day," said Peter Ollestad, director of business development for LPG. "We were thrilled to connect kitchen and bath showroom designers, the Walter Morris sales agency, and product manufacturers at this unique regional event. Our goal is to build collaboration and engagement at LPG, and this was a fantastic first step."
Ollestad and Scott Chiras of Walter Morris Company welcomed attendees and offered opening remarks to kick off the event. Eight product representatives from five premium manufacturers each led educational sessions at this intimate and enjoyable setting. First-class brands that participated were Basco Shower Enclosures, Blanco, Isenberg, MTI, and Strasser. Attendees traveled from as far as Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Ohio to attend the event.
"As a new LPG Vendor, it was a perfect opportunity to share our showroom-friendly go-to-market strategy and to demonstrate our product quality and best-in-class website with over two dozen loyal LPG members," said Jeff Bierman, vice president of sales for Isenberg Faucets. "The uninterrupted, focused time at the Walter Morris Company and the social time at Bar Louie were the perfect combination to build comfortable connections."
Bierman continued, "Rarely do showroom consultants and organizational leaders have the opportunity to network, compare market insights, spend quality time with key vendors and their reps together, and let their hair down at an integrated social gathering. This regional event accomplished all of these, it was far more intimate than KBIS, and it only took one day away from the showroom or office!"
As host of the event, Walter Morris Company demonstrated the highly valuable role a professional rep organization plays in bringing showrooms and vendors together.
Ollestad said LPG is looking forward to continuing the positive momentum and hosting future events in different areas of the country.
