Fujitsu General America Inc. has hired two new residential sales directors to further promote its inverter-driven heat pump product lines. Matt Coley has joined the company as director of residential sales – North, and Darin Barnes now holds the same position in the South region.
As director of residential sales, Coley and Barnes are responsible for the strategic alignment of resources to grow Fujitsu’s distribution channel, supporting current distribution to gain market share, and developing new partners in white space.
With more than 26 years in the HVAC/R industry’s wholesale distribution channel, Coley has worked for several national distributors. His previous roles include commercial HVAC manager, VRF business development manager, general manager, and sales manager.
“Matt Coley comes to Fujitsu with more than two and a half decades of HVAC sales leadership, specializing in inverter technology,” said Dennis Stinson SVP of sales. “We look forward to his insight and leadership as we continue to grow our business in support of our distribution network.”
With 20-plus years of direct sales experience, Barnes has managed and directed high-performing sales teams for several well-known HVAC and plumbing brands while providing guidance, coaching, and support. He has managed national distribution accounts, buying groups, and manufacturers’ agencies.
“Darin Barnes joins Fujitsu with a proven record of successful sales management across multiple platforms,” Stinson said. “We look forward to his leadership as we continue to develop our team.”
