ACCA names 2015 commercial contractor of the year
February 26, 2015
ARLINGTON, VA. - ACCA, the Indoor Environment & Energy Efficiency Association, has named Hyde-Stone Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in Watertown, New York, its 2015 Commercial Contractor of the Year.
"Again this year we had a number of innovative commercial contractors apply for this award," said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. "Our judges always have an extremely tough decision to make when they pick the recipient. This year's winner, Hyde-Stone Mechanical Contractors, illustrates the characteristics that all of the best commercial contractors in the country have in common."
Hyde-Stone Mechanical Contractors, Inc. will be presented the Commercial Contractor of the Year award on March 18 at the morning MainStage of ACCA 2015 in Grapevine, Texas.
Hyde-Stone's dedication to their customers by creating a partnership through a Design/Build approach helped set them apart from the other finalists and earn them the award.
The company has been around since 1893, but was purchased by the current leadership team of Jay, Chris, and Thom Stone in the 1980s. With locations in Watertown, Potsdam, and Plattsburg, New York, their desire to be more than just a contractor for their clients has made them a top choice partner in their market.
"This is really a once in a lifetime award," said Chris Stone, vice president. "There are so many top notch contractors in this category and we feel so honored to be selected. If Hyde-Stone was a rock band, I'm sure it would be like getting our picture on the cover of Rolling Stone. Our employees feel so privileged to have this award bestowed on them. I say 'them,' because Hyde-Stone does not have a business and could not be selected for this award without our hard working employees."
