RESNET has launched its new RESNET QA app, an innovative quality assurance app designed specifically for RESNET Rating Providers and their Quality Assurance Designees (QADs). This cutting-edge application is set to revolutionize the way that HERS professionals operate, by enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
By leveraging the power of the RESNET QA app, RESNET Rating Providers and QADs can access a new convenient way to meet industry QA requirements via desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone; and strengthen the QA program by giving RESNET staff, Rating Providers, and their QADs, the ability to track data and performance trends.
Nearly 4 million homes have received HERS ratings, to measure each home's energy efficiency. According to RESNET Standards, those HERS ratings are subject to review by accredited Rating Providers (who have the responsibility of ensuring the quality of rating services) and by RESNET staff.
Since 2017, RESNET has considerably enhanced its quality assurance effort by adding quality assurance staff and investigators. RESNET staff perform enhanced QA annually with providers and their QA staff, through online or on-site review, improving the consistency of the QA process and interpretation of RESNET standards.
As RESNET HERS Index ratings are adopted into building codes and recognized in government programs, builder environmental social governance (ESG) reporting, mortgage back securities, appraisal, and real estate, the consistency and quality assurance of these ratings is paramount to the success of the rating industry. RESNET strives to ensure that our Quality Assurance Program is, and remains, the Gold Standard for the industry.
