It’s a bittersweet moment that I must share with all of you. After 20 years of writing in trade magazines and sharing the lessons I’ve learned along the way — both as a contractor in my own family’s plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical business and then in this great second career of consulting to contractors — I will no longer be writing for them.

First, I want to say how much I appreciate PHC News allowing me to reach you, the readers. 

I sincerely hope I’ve been able to share a better path to your having what I say in my tagline: “Less Stress. More Success.”

There is one more thing I want to share with you. I don’t know what you’ve heard, but I want you to hear it from the horse’s mouth.

I have sold my company to Tommy Mello and his new entity. 

Why? 

Tommy is passionate about the 7 Powers because he used these systems to help build a multimillion dollar home service business.  

Tommy and his team will ensure my systems can reach even more contractors now and down the road, too. That said, I’m not going anywhere just yet — I’ll be there to help where I can for the foreseeable future.

My intention was always to build The 7-Power Contractor to the point where it could be turned over to someone with the resources and vision to grow the company to the next level. That day has come, and Tommy and, more specifically, his company are excited to do just that.
