Innovation and disruption will highlight the 2023 WQA Mid-Year Leadership Conference's keynote address as Subeca CEO Patrick Keaney takes the podium during the noon luncheon on Sept. 20. MYLC will be held Sept. 19-21 at the Everline Resort and Spa in Lake Tahoe, California.
Keaney is the former worldwide head of Amazon AWS Water, focused on using cloud technology to solve water challenges around the world. In May, he joined Subeca, a leading provider of next-generation water metering systems that partners with Amazon Sidewalk's shared network to leverage IoT technology to provide real-time insights into water usage across entire neighborhoods.
After Keaney's speech, "Thinking Outside the Meter Box," WQA CEO Pauli Undesser, MWS, will join him on stage for a discussion about innovation, the future of water, and their involvement in the American Water Works Association's Water 2050 think tanks.
It's just one of the highly interactive, creative sessions designed to introduce MYLC attendees to ideas and strategies they can take back to their own businesses. The conference also features networking events that help participants collaborate with and learn from each other, both at MYLC and beyond. A golf outing and a benefit dinner experience will raise funds for the Water Quality Research Foundation.
Full registration and hotel information (limited availability), a complete schedule of events, and other conference details are available at the event website, wqa.org/mylc.
