General Plumbing Supply, one of the largest and longest standing distributors of plumbing, HVAC, industrial, kitchen and bath products, is pleased to announce the opening of two trade counter branches, marking its 21st and 22nd locations across New Jersey and New York.

This week, General Plumbing Supply Avenel will open at 1076 US Route 1. The 10,000-square-foot building is the site of a former plumbing supply house and is conveniently located to service the Woodbridge/Carteret/Rahway (Northern Middlesex County) market. The branch will be staffed with seasoned GPS employees to further support existing and new customers across the plumbing, heating, and HVAC categories.

Last month, General Plumbing Supply Neptune opened at 1916 Heck Ave. Located right off Route 35, this trade branch will service southern-Monmouth County, positioned halfway between GPS’ Middletown and Lakewood branches. The ample room for outdoor storage changes the game for GPS’ stocking position in the area. This branch is also staffed with GPS veterans.

General Plumbing Supply President Justin Freedman said, “After transitioning to our new Piscataway, NJ Corporate Headquarters and Distribution Center at the end of 2022, these locations will allow us to meet the needs of 2 local market that GPS was not effectively servicing prior.  We are excited to better meet the needs of our existing customers and new in Northern Middlesex and Southern Monmouth County for all of the industry best brands that customers have come to expect from GPS.”

Both locations will be stocked with a robust lineup of inventory from industry-leading manufacturers including Kohler, Luxaire, Rheem Water Heaters, Moen, Weil-McLain, Honeywell and many more. GPS Avenel and Neptune are open 7:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, with Saturday hours coming this Fall.
