ACCA and Rocky Mountain Gas Association Form Alliance

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and the Rocky Mountain Gas Association (RMGA) are pleased to share that RMGA has become the 22nd Allied Contracting Organization (ACO) to affiliate with ACCA. RMGA promotes the advancement of heating, venting, air conditioning, refrigeration, hearth, and plumbing contractors across Utah and Southwest Wyoming. With this addition, ACCA’s Allied Contracting Organizations now serve 29 states and the District of Columbia.

Allied Contracting Organizations are independent associations that partner with ACCA on the advancement of the HVACR industry’s technical excellence, business success, and legislative and regulatory goals. While ACCA and RMGA memberships remain separate, both organizations will promote the value of investing in a strong representation of the HVACR industry at the local and national levels.

"We see the value of becoming one of ACCA's ACOs with the full confidence we can create a lasting partnership for the betterment of all of our members."

We believe this new relationship will help contractors in Utah and Southwest Wyoming be better represented on all levels.”

"Saying yes to an alliance with ACCA was the easiest decision for us to make," added Jamie Schumacher, immediate past president of RMGA. "Our board members, along with ACCA's board, are volunteer contractors and suppliers who are always seeking ways to bring value to the industry, so this is a winning combination."

"RMGA has long supported contractor training related to ACCA’s quality standards and has been an ally in fighting for building codes that protect consumers and reward contractors for doing the job right,” said Dr. Stephen Pape, board chair of ACCA. “I was thrilled to visit with RMGA leaders and make plans for an even closer relationship going forward.”

This agreement will help both organizations better represent and support contractors in Utah and Southwest Wyoming through a unified voice on legislative and regulatory issues and better cross-promotion and reciprocal discounts on educational programs.
