Kris Hamal of GT Gordon & Associates is the 2023 recipient of the Terry Sherman Memorial Award. The award was bestowed to Hamal during Milwaukee Valve's 2023 National Sales Meeting last month.

The award is named for Terry Sherman, Milwaukee Valve's former vice president of sales who was renowned for his "Valve Schools" which were directed at sales representative agencies, distribution partners, specifying engineers, and installing contractors. The award recognizes the Milwaukee Valve sales representative who has been the most enthusiastic promoter of Milwaukee and Hammond Valve products, company initiatives, and who has been a positive force throughout the entire valve industry.

Prior to his untimely death twenty years ago in 2003, Sherman was celebrated for his enthusiasm and positivity. These attributes are in ample supply with Hamal, a native of Vancouver, Washington.

"Kris has excellent control of the secondary market," said national sales manager Chris Tarantello. "Like Terry, Kris knows the strengths and weaknesses of all of the players and their products in his market. As a two-time recipient, Terry would be quite pleased with Hamal's selection."
