Assemble your team and join the PVF Roundtable, Monday, May 8, for the annual PVF Roundtable Golf Tournament sponsored by Weldbend Corporation and Ferguson Industrial. All 5 courses are open at The Clubs of Kingwood and Deerwood for this event with a new option to pick your course (first come, first served). Over 500 golfers from all over the USA join PVF market colleagues for friendly competition, one-of-a-kind networking, and the ultimate goal – raising money for scholarships given to future PVF field graduates. The Clubs of Kingwood is notorious for the 18th hole on the Island Course, named “Golf’s Toughest Finishing Hole” by Golf Digest and it also happens to be where the 1995 movie, Tin Cup, was filmed. A favorite of several pipe, valve, and fittings industry executives, the PVF Roundtable is thrilled to offer this venue again with sponsorship opportunities, a silent auction, awards, and dinner.
Back by popular demand is the Cannon Shot and Beat the Pro, your opportunity to outdrive a pro golfer while you make your way through the course and visit sponsored tents where you can learn more about valves, pipe, gaskets, rings, A234 fittings, and more. This year, the Roundtable hopes that golf tournament donations help push the Roundtable over the $2 Million milestone in total scholarship dollars given since it began. “Membership has really grown momentum in the past few years. I’m hoping that more PVF industry professionals join in and take advantage of such a unique networking experience. The sponsorship opportunities help everyone know what each member company can offer, which allows us to point customers in the right direction to help them quote an entire BOM. Plus, it’s all for charity,” says PVF Roundtable President, Sara Alford.
Golf committee consists of Jamie Meade with Colson Xcel USA as the lead, along with committee members Sara Alford, Newmans Valve; Trace Scrivner, Exxon Mobil; Courtney Rau, Chevron; and Bryan DeLong, Excel Loading.
The PVF Roundtable is a member’s only organization committed to an open dialogue to exchange relevant information and current industry affairs affecting the PVF community. In addition, the Roundtable prepares for the future of the industry by providing funds to colleges and trade schools, encouraging students to complete their education and apply to member companies upon graduation.
