Fenwick Home Services, a trusted professional air conditioning, heating, and plumbing service provider in Jacksonville, Florida, is proud to announce employee Travis Smith, has received the Patriot Award from the Office of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, an organization of the U.S. Department of Defense. The award was presented at a ceremony on March 9 in Jacksonville. 

Smith was nominated by Daniel Williams, an active reservist and plumber who recently returned from a 30-day deployment. Williams is among a group of Reservists or Military Veterans currently employed by Fenwick Services, which provides residential plumbing, cooling, heating, and water treatment services in Jacksonville. 

Bestowed upon a workplace supervisor or leader who provides direct support to a member, spouse, or family of the National Guard or Reserve, nominations for the Patriot Award are made by a Service member or his or her family. The Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed. 

"Since the day I started with this company, it was obvious that Fenwick treats its employees like family. I nominated Travis for this award because he is by far the best boss I have ever had," Williams said. "Without hesitation, he has always given me the time I need to take care of myself and complete the duties the military requires of me. Travis allows me to perform at my best, for not only myself, but for the company overall."
