Chicago Faucets is Committed to Reduce and Recycle Too!
Richard Nortier, Director of Marketing states, "Chicago Faucets is proud to be a partner with WaterSense. Both the Chicago Faucet Company along with our parent company in Europe, the Geberit Group take sustainability seriously. In addition to engineering and manufacturing hundreds of water-efficient products, we practice the three Rs Reduce, Reuse, Recycle in all our facilities."
Chicago Faucets is committed to reducing its environmental impact by monitoring electricity, natural gas, water, and the amount of waste going to landfill. In the company's Milwaukee foundry alone, the amount of landfill waste has been reduced by 60% on an annual basis. A significant amount - 98% of its scrap brass is recycled. Internally Chicago Faucets recycles more than 20 tons per year. Since CFC utilizes a clean, virgin alloy manufacturing process, the scrap can be returned as an ingot for casting. The faucet manufacturer also recycled over 600 tons of brass with outside partners. Since brass is a valuable resource, the company invites customers join its recycling efforts by taking retired Chicago Faucets fittings to an appropriate recycling facility. Visit the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries website to find a recycler in your area.
