Luxury Products Group (LPG), a division of IMARK Plumbing, presented three awards during its annual EXPO held Feb. 2-4 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.
During the event, LPG announced a new award for a member or vendor that goes above and beyond in promoting LPG called the Spirit Award. For 2023, the winner was announced as Steve Lamachia of Electric Mirror. Steve was a major contributor to the group's success by sending members to join and helping showrooms with incredible deals on displays — making doing business easy.
President of IMARK Plumbing and LPG, John Aykroyd, stated, "Steve stepped up this year when so many vendors were clamping back on displays and unable to open new members — he not only opened several accounts but sent new accounts our way. He is a fan of the group, and it shows."
Focusing on showrooms, LPG announced its Showroom of the Year for 2022 as The Bath and Kitchen Idea Center, a division of Winsupply, in Greeley, Colorado. Melissa Rascio, manager of the showroom, was on hand to accept the award. The Greeley location is a standalone showroom.
John Aykroyd celebrated the accomplishment. "Our partnership with Winsupply continues to grow, as they are independent, locally owned and operated businesses, and the Greeley Winsupply showroom does just an incredible job of selling to the upscale clients and is a true reflection of what a luxury showroom should be," he said. "Melissa is generous in sharing what helps make her successful, not only with other Winsupply locations but other LPG members as well."
Not to be missed was the announcement of the Destination Showroom of the year for 2022, awarded to Westside Kitchen and Bath in Dallas. Alan Fishman, president of Westside, was present to accept the award. This recognition is for a member exceeding the number of vendor partners established in the group and outpacing the other showrooms within LPG to take the prize.
"I really like my industry, but I love this group," Fishman said. "The suppliers and other showrooms are family. I do not take that lightly or for granted."
"Alan runs a great showroom and has an excellent business model within a booming market. We had a great deal of people who earned our destination status in LPG, but Westside outpaced the others. We are thrilled to have him as a partner in LPG and look forward to great things to come," Aykroyd added.
LPG was started by a small group of OMNI members that believed showrooms are different than plumbing wholesalers. It started with a group of 210 members and now currently has 450 members. LPG's continued focus has been and will always be on family businesses.
