Sioux Chief, an American manufacturer with a global reach, and roots in family and community, recently dedicated its auditorium and training center, located within its Kansas City headquarters, as the 'Stallings Innovation Center' in honor of the late Mike Stallings.
Stalling's career spanned nearly 40 years in the plumbing industry. He joined Sioux Chief in 2001, and managed the Southeast Distribution Center. Shortly after, Stallings became the regional sales manager for the southeast region, and advanced into director of national sales for Sioux Chief in 2013. He successfully carried out that position until his passing.
"Mike understood rough-in plumbing, and innovation was in his DNA and played an important role in the development of many of our most successful products," said Michael Foster, vice president of commercial sales.
The Stallings Innovation Center will be a place for employees, representatives, and customers to learn and exchange ideas. The facility provides real plumbing scenarios with hands-on experience and will be the beginning of many innovative products that will start with conversations in the center. The dedication was celebrated with Stallings' wife, Donna, and several representatives and customers from the southeast region — many of whom shared stories or favorite memories of him.
"We are grateful to all who could share this special time with us," Foster said.
