McGuire Manufacturing Co., a leader in the plumbing fixture trim industry for over 66 years, has announced that its patented mechanical integral check angle stop, the ICV Defender, has received ASME A112.18.3, Certification as a Backflow Protection Devices and Systems in Plumbing Fixture Fittings.

The ICV Defender angle stop is a spring-actuated integral check valve that was introduced in July of 2020 to address cross-connection contamination and backflow. The ICV Defender is manufactured to the same specification as McGuire's heavy pattern angle stops and is available in IPS, sweat, and compression connections.
