Jonathan Caple, a Lancaster, Pa., police officer, will receive a new heating system donated by Neffsville Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Services, a Lancaster County mainstay for more than 75 years.
Rick Groff, general manager and owner of Neffsville doesn’t call it a contest, but rather a “donation with a process.”
Nominations were sought through social media. About a dozen officers were suggested.
Caple stood out for his dedication, Groff said.
“His heart beats to be a street cop. That’s all he wants to do,” Groff said. “I can say his passion and love of what he does was remarkable.”
